End the day watching fireworks on land or pay a small fee for a boat cruise to fully enjoy the show.
Monterey Bay, California
Located just a few hours from San Francisco, Monterey Bay can be described as a quaint but breathtaking beach town bursting with activities for all types of people. Spend the day exploring the town and watching their Independence Day parade, driving to see the redwoods, going to the aquarium, or on the famous beaches of Big Sur. Once your daily activities have finished, eat a delicious meal in town and enjoy fireworks. Wherever you’re traveling from, this spot is worth it.
Montauk, New York
If you’ve been dreaming of visiting the Hamptons, then this is the spot for you. Montauk is a gorgeous beach town with thousands of acres of parks and beaches plus great dining and shopping options. It’s location on the easternmost tip of Long Island keeps this spot quiet compared to other areas of the Hamptons. Although it may be a bit busier on the 4th of July, this slow moving town is just as relaxing. Make sure to set a reminder for the firework show that kicks off at 9pm because it’s something you won’t want to miss.
Catalina Island, California
Located off the coast of California near Los Angeles, Catalina Island boasts beautiful beaches and parks, plus views from every angle. They have a big celebration each year including hosting the USC Marching Band for their annual parade and a gorgeous fireworks show over Avalon Bay.
