Q: Do you have care instructions for my Nautical Board?

Yes, care instructions can be found here.

Q: Can Nautical Boards be repaired if damaged?
A:
Depending on the nature and location of the damage, boards may be repairable, including issues with the finish.  Please refer to the care instructions or contact us directly to discuss repair options.

Q: Can you make a board that is made up of only one species of wood (or many), or is shaped like my boat, or Nantucket, or has a photo image engraved on it?
A:
Yes, custom work is a specialty.  Call or email to chat about your ideas, or check out some examples in the product gallery.

Q: Is more information available regarding the construction, woods, sustainability of the materials, finishes, etc?
A:
Yes, I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have – Feel free to Call or email.

Q: How about end grain butcher-block or chopping blocks?
A:
Sorry, but I don’t do chopping or butcher blocks.

Q: Why not?
A:
Well, end grain is notorious for splitting unless it is very thick. Check out some of the popular food prep boards sold at high end retailers and you’ll see. Splitsville…

Q: Where and how did Nautical Boards start?
A:
I was fiddling around in the basement workshop in the Fall of 2008. (Seriously).  Plus, a lot of hard work, skinned knuckles, customer care and Zacapa Centenario Rum since then.

A:
Yes, we’ll be
